課程概述

除了病原體本身的特質之外，人類生態與行為是影響傳染病發生與蔓延的最重要因素。本課程因此將特別著重人類這個物種與其所處環境互動之下，所引發的各類傳染病現象。前述的環境，不但包括自然環境，還包括社會環境或人類所造就出來的特定環境。隨著人類面對傳染病（病原體）的態度已逐漸由志得意滿，轉而較謙卑以對，本課程的第一部分將以一些重要的視角切入並貫穿後續的各單元，包括：摒棄人類中心主義、尊重自然並明智的使用科技、以及體認疾病與社會問題間的相生相成、環環互扣。第二部分將介紹人類在各類環境中的活動與行為如何形成傳染病的發生、流行、與消弭，特別是為何有些傳染病總是揮之不去，有一些是初來乍到（新興傳染病）；而另有一些則時而捲土重來（再現傳染病）。第三部分則由傳染病預防與控制的三個層面：行為、科技、以及結構，來呈現人類對傳染病的反應與因應方式。

 1. 能瞭解人類生態環境之變遷在傳染病的發生、流行、與消弭中所扮演的角色。
2. 能分析人類因應傳染病的策略所可能產生的成效與發生的後果。
